Executive Golf Search was founded due to a need in the industry to match qualified applicants with available openings at golf facilities around the globe. The original concept was developed by founders Robert Trent Jones, Dr. Kenyon Payne and Gerald Faubel. These men had the vision to understand that golf is a business and recruiting and finding the right fit for a golf course superintendent needs to be done strategically.
Over the last 3 decades the need for professional searches has increased. Others have joined the marketplace but Executive Golf Search is still the only search firm that specializes in Golf Course Superintendents! We have added other positions such as Equipment Technician, Assistant Superintendent, Director of Agronomy, Regional Golf Course Superintendents, Sports Turf Managers and technical positions in sales and management for many turfgrass manufacturers and distributors. The increasing requirements for high performers of all positions of the management team at golf facilities has reached not only our attention but that of golf’s allied associations as well. Our significant professional experience in the golf industry, combined with our broad network of global contacts, has opened our services to the request of recruiting and placing golf professionals and club managers into the facility team concept.
Golf facilities today will have as many as 200 applicants for a position of Golf Course Superintendent. Volume of applicants is not the problem. The challenge is filtering through the applicants to find the right match for your needs and your facility.
